Hi Joanie,
This is absolutely necessary.
I think the most important fact is that when we as blind computer users
are making a formal document or report, we might have a complex level of
hierarchy for lists which might be of bullets and numbers.
So next time I press enter, orca must tell me what it is inserting so I
know at what level I am.
I hope my point is clear. I will try to make it even more clear if need
be. But I am saying this out of experience. I had this problem before
I started to use LaTeX.
Happy hacking.
Krishnakant.

Hey all.
When you're writing a list item in OOo Writer and press Return, Writer
often automatically inserts a new bullet or number for you. At the
moment, these show up in braille when the new paragraph gets focus, but
we're not speaking them. We probably should be....
My question is: Is there anyone who would find the speaking of the
bullet or list number which was inserted objectionable? i.e. because
it's too verbose. If so, I am more than happy to make it a setting. If
not, then I'd rather not bother with creating a new setting which we
don't really need because everyone would enable it anyway.<smile>
Please let me know. Thanks!
