[orca-list] Should Vinux uninstall Empathy and Evolution, and install Pidgin and Thunderbird instead?

Experienced blind Orca users using Vinux are saying they prefer Pidgin
and Thunderbird to Empathy and Evolution. They already manually
switch. I think Vinux users would find Pidgin and Thunderbird nicer
to use, but that moves us away from two important default applications
in Ubuntu. Should we make the switch? Might that result in
longer-term pain, because we'll have fewer blind users using the
default Ubuntu apps which tend to be the same as other major distros?

Thanks,
Bill
