[orca-list] voxin synthesizer

I got voxin from the web site and installed it.
Then speech dispatcher updated itself.
After installing voxin synthesizer, I shut down my machine.  After booting up, I heard voxin speak the log in 
screen.
Then after logging in, I heard e speak.
Then I went in to orca preferences to make voxin the default synthesizer.
But voxin was not in the list at all.
But just after I shut down, I heard voxin speak the log out message.
Any ideas as to the cause of this problem?
