Re: [orca-list] Difficult at-spi-registryd bug

D'oh! The problem is that /usr/bin/ubiquity launches the real
ubiquity using gksu, which results in all sorts o problems with Orca
in Ubntu. When I replace it with a simple wrapper script (I call it
runsu) around sudo the problem goes away!

There's a bug in Ubuntu Lucid on the LiveCD.  If I choose an
accessible install, and boot into Ubuntu, Orca comes up automatically.
When I double-click on the install icon, Ubiquity runs.  If I then
switch to another app, and then back to Ubuquity with Alt+Tab, Orca is
unable to read the Ubiquity forms.  Instead, it just says what key I
press.  When I close Ubiquity, at-spi-registryd crashes.  I believe
that this is due to Orca trying to access data in a widget that has
already been destroyed.  I can change at-spi-registryd not to crash in
this case, but that wont fix the problem that Orca loses it's ability
to access Ubiquity when we switch to another app.

This is a common problem in Ubuntu Lucid.  I think it's true for many
apps that when we run them with sudo, and switch away, and then back,
Orca is no longer able to read the app's widgets.  Could this be some
sort of permissions problem?
