Hi,

My best gues is that the easiest solution is to just use alsamixer or whatever the pulse equivelent is.  As I 
recall you can also modify the volume of just orca with the sliding bar thingy there that currently says 
10.0.  If you really want the volume nob to work for some reason try applying the google.
