Hi Lina and team.
I was wondering if you are converting the pdf document to html and then
rendering to firefox?
Or have you written a plugin for firefox to do that?
Secondly, are you adding a keyboard command to orca or to firefox for
opening the pdf fine?
By the way, can any one of you write to me off list? I am in Mumbai
and would like to meet the Orca team at cdac.
Happy hacking.
Krishnakant.

So are you saying that I could
open this same doc in Evince and I would be able to read it their too.
No, it will open the same pdf doc in Firefox and control will
shift to firefox.
To elaborate a little more on this - the document can be opened in
Evince and to read the document the user has to use the given key
binding. Then the document is read by Orca. In the backend - to make
this happen, the file opens in firefox and the control is transferred
there, closing the evince document.
One of the main
concerns would be to be able to open this document in Evince and be
able to read it like any other document. Maybe the Evince team also
would need to implement a tagging document option just like Adobe
Reader does. I definitely appreciate your work on this project but
just suggesting another option. To make accessible pdf's I believe
whether in open source or proprietary work it's important to have
multiple options.
With warm regards,
