[orca-list] weird behavior with orca and rhythmbox

Hi All,
I'm running orca 2.26.3 with Gnome 2.26 from Gentoo. Accessibility
seems to be working great overall, including access to those pesky
administrative applications and logout dialogues.
There is one issue I'm experiencing though, and I'm not quite sure what
could be causing it. I like Rhythmbox as a music player. It seems
pretty much accessible with orca out of the box. The problem is that
when I try to play through an album, it makes it through one song and
the audio cuts off. I find that the moment I quit orca it resumes
again, and not necessarily at the beginning of the song either. It's as
if it's been playing, but I obviously haven't heard it.
I've experienced this both with the speech-dispatcher and gnome-speech
drivers. I'm using alsa for my audio output at the moment with its
autoconfigured dmix plugin. No pulseaudio, no esd unless that's being
started automagically and I'm unaware of it.
Should I file a bug for this? Some preliminary searching doesn't seem
to turn anything up. The only thing I can remotely imagine is that
somehow my running espeakup at the same time is throwing rhythmbox out
of kilter. That's a stretch though. I'm going to test without it after
sending this.
Any thoughts?
Thanks much,
Zack.
