I agree with Petra's remarks to the point that as we get up to speed
and those who commit themselves will and can contribute code changes.
I think the aspect of full time paid support perhaps would have more
to do with integration between Orca, Gnome, and other apps which need
to communicate with the a11y infrastructure. a11y for Gnome is a lot
more complex than access at the console which is where brltty and
speakup play so nicely.  I don't know about brltty but speakup's most
complex stuff is with the kernel itself and modules there related but
with gnome, there seems to be so much more sharing of a11y
responsibility over other developers..  How many times I have filed a
bug only to learn that the problem exists with the other application
like Firefox or Open Office and it cannot be fixed inside of Orca.  I
think we need to do what we can collectively to keep things going and
move with what we know and learn but certainly the dedicated support
we might need with coordination with other software developers and
such would be also greatly appreciated and would probably need to be
funded.
