Hey all.

I tried in OpenSolaris and don't see a problem. Then I tried in Lucid.

When in flat review mode, Orca draws a rectangle around the object being
reviewed. IIRC, this was originally done strictly for debugging
purposes, but some users with low vision reported liking it, so we kept
it. Anyhoo.... We draw the rectangle by creating an undecorated
GtkWindow (i.e. one without a title bar, etc.)

In Lucid, when I flat review, the window manager seems to have decided
to decorate the window. In addition to looking odd, I believe it is
messing us up. I've opened this bug for the issue:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=610725

If I try to right-click on the focused object while not in flat review
mode, I am able to bring up a context menu as expected. That might serve
as a workaround in the meantime.

I just tried it on the desktop of my Arch system and I was always able
to get a context menu. However, when right clicking this way, am I
always supposed to get the general desktop context or should I be
getting the context specific to the icon I'm right clicking? For all
my tests, I was sitting on the Trash icon. The only time I was able
to get the Trash specific context was by pressing Orca+/ to route the
focus and then right clicking. Am I understanding flat review
correctly?

Also, my other question about flat review is when you said you could
click outside of flat review; how do you do that? From what I
understand, as soon as one moves the flat review pointer around,
you're automatically placed into flat review mode.

Anyway, I never encountered a situation where the right click from
flat review didn't work.
