Hey guys,
Jed here, someoen who wants to start playing with linux.
I have to say this right off the bat, bear with me, but i do learn fast.
I'm a window-eyes user currently.
A little explaination i need, i guess orca is a screen reader similar to
window-eyes, same concepts, but it's just in linux, right?
I would guess you have menu bars or something like this.

Yes, for the most part. In most applications except for Open Office,
you would press the F10 key to get into the menu bar instead of the
alt key like in windows. Open Office does support the alt key being
pressed. Many other concepts are similar to Windows.

I'm not one for reading manuals, it doesn't take me long to learn stuff,
that's for sure.

Well, I seem to hear that fairly often and it does concern me some.
There is much, much documentation out there for Linux in general and a
lot of online documentation like wiki's and stuff and it all bares
reading. For example, we have a lot of stuff on
http://live.gnome.org/Orca that helps solve various problems and
answer often-asked questions about getting going with Orca and getting
the most out of it. I don't mean to sound harsh here, but learn to
like manuals, web sites, wiki's and manpages because that's where all
the answers are.
