Yes, I got that too.  I filed a bug but can't remember the number
right now.  Lately for me, it seems a bit better but I still notice
some trouble with the subject field where if I tab into the body and
back to the subject no speech when navigating but if I back tab to the
address area and then come back to the subject, then it talks; sounds
very similar to your problem.
