[orca-list] Perhaps the fix for all the reported problems loading profiles? Please test.

Hey all.

After looking at JosÃ's issue and Halim's issue and Attila's issue, my
silly old brain finally got the pattern. I believe this patch fixes all
three issues.

Please test it and let me know. And if it doesn't I'd ask you to
temporarily rename your user-settings.conf and try again.
