Is there a way of finding out about information regarding backup files?
I have decided after looking at various means of backing up files in
Linux to use the tar command.
However I have two tar files, both called Backup.tar.bz2 and I am trying
to find the date of the latest one so I don't d3elete the wrong file.
I tried doing ls in Gnome terminal but that only gives me file names and
I have forgotten what the switch is for displaying other file
information and hearing it read out with Orca.
I tried to review the files from the desktop obnly I have them in wrote
and I get an error message telling me that I cannot view the files.
I went into file properties and went to the permissions tab only I can't
find the option for changing the permissions on the folder.
