No it's not, it's been merged into the indicator applet. This one
tripped me up at first too, since most of the status icons have been put
in there now. It's the "menu bar" before the clock, they really need to
assign a name to it and make that more clear.
Is indicator-applet something Ubuntu-specific or is GNOME in general
adopting it?
