Unfortunately, most if not all netbooks come with Ubuntu however it is not
what would be considered the standard distribution of Ubuntu. It's a netbook
build that is usually created by the netbook manufacturer.
On the Asus EEEPC it's a customized version of Xandros, which is a Debian
derivative as I recall.
According to articles at Linux Weekly News, some netbook manufacturers have
been criticized for ineptitude in customizing Linux for their products. This
may change in the future. If it does, it would naturally be desirable for Orca
to be included by default, preferably as an activatable component of the
operating system installed to the flash memory of the device, so that it need
not be downloaded from the network by the purchasor of the product.
