Re: [orca-list] Voxin on Jaunty 9.04

Hello, voxin is working quite well on ubuntu 9.04. first of all install alsa-oss
sudo apt-get install alsa-oss.
simply download the latest release from their site
http://voxin.oralux.net/update/

After purging pulseaudio install voxin. if it doesn't work you can edit /usr/lib/bonobo/servers/GNOME_Speech_SynthesisDriver_Viavoice.server.
in the third line add /usr/bin/aoss before Viavoice
you can now run test-speech to see if its working.
Thanks,
Aruni.
