Re: [orca-list] OpenOffice

Hi,

Think I read somewhere you need to do

sudo apt-get install openoffice.org-gnome

For the OO gtk stuff.

Subject: [orca-list] OpenOffice

I've just downloaded and installed OO on Ubuntu 8.10 using aptitude.

I set the environment variable:
SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN="gtk" as instructed at:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Accessibility

I also checked that GTK_MODULES was set propperly.

Now when I run soffice -writer from the shell where I set SAL_USE_PCLPLUGIN, I get an app that doesn't speak at all. ORca says "inaccessible" when I try
and set focus to it.

Any idea what I'm missing?
