I had a long software which was handled by updatemanager in gnome earlier
today. First there were two extensive timeouts where orca simply went
away and had to be restarted. The second thing that didn't happen was
when we went into the root account the updates announcement did not speak
with orca but did appear on the screen. Today one of the updates actually
was gnome-orca so these problems happened with the replaced version. The
first timeout happened because of the energy saver and I don't know if
sighted users get a warning up on the screen with which they can postpone
a timeout or not. If it does, that's something else orca does not speak.
The energy saving default was adjusted up to two hours so is not likely to
be an issue in the future.
