[orca-list] evolution on Ubuntu 8.10 with Orca

Hello everyone,
I have installed the latest release of Vinux (1.51) on my netbook.  I
will probably eventually switch to Debian, but didn't have easy access
to a pair of eyes to help me with the install.
Most things are working, but I do have a question about e-mail.  How
can I access the preferences in Evolution.  When I choose preferences
off of the Edit menu, Orca does not focus on the dialog.  Is this an
Orca or an Evolution issue.  I have not tried using the latest version
of Orca from git.  I have a gmail account, and need to be able to set
up the e-mail ports, etc.
Is their another e-mail client that works better?
