[orca-list] my mike doesn't work.

well, I am curious.  How do I know under system/preferences/sound what to 
ajust to get my mike working?  I have a sigmatel AC97 sound device.  By 
default, it's set on autoalsasync I think it's called.  I think the 
conference also iws there and I have pulseaudio rc or whatever it's called 
for the capture, but even setting this to alsasync or autoalsasync isn't 
working.  Basically, the deal is I got Skype set up with the skype4pidgin 
plugin, but when I call skype test call, I get no audio from the mike.  I 
can hear! skype just fine, just can't capture audio.  I dono what the heck 
I'm doowen wrong, and looking at all the things in those combo boxes is 
going way over my head.
