Hi list,
just downloaded the latest build of Ubuntu Eee because it has support
for the Eee 900. Booted from the CD and was confused when Orca didn't
come up after I selected it pressing f5, 3 and enter after selecting my
language. So I tried to run it by pressing alt + f2, typing Orca and
hitting enter on the Gnome desktop. I was really happy to hear Orca say
it was loading the settings, but then it completely stopped speaking. It
seems like it completely closed, cause I couldn't get it to speak again.
So I launched it again which caused the same result. Even after
rebooting and trying several times, I couldn't get Orca to talk to me...
Does anyone have an idea what else I could try? I'm really disappointed
to see another inaccessible Linux for the Eee from a popular distributor
I have to say. Can't they just quit playing with accessibility tools if
they seem to work fairly well?
Robin
