Re: [orca-list] Orca on Ubuntu eeePC

Might be some what off topic, But try out acer aspire 1 series.
It comes with 1 gb ram and 120 gb hdd.
it is an atom processor based laptop and i have tryed orca with ubuntu
netbook remix.
By the way I think the asus eeepc has a keyboard too small for working.
I too had the preferences dialog issue some time back. But the acer
aspire1 is slightly bigger than the netbook eeepc of asus so may be
the preferences not appearing on the screen might be sorted out.
happy hacking.

whatever pointing device the EEE PC comes wth.

We've successfully installed Orca onto a Ubuntu based eeePC and
certainly on
mains power it runs extremely well with some hesitancy on battery power.
one problem appears to be that the Orca preferences screen doesn't
when the machine starts up, which means that in order to set preferences
select options one needs to plug the umpc into a full monitor to view
the tabs and buttons

Any ideas ?
