Our blind tester needed support from a sighted colleague to overcome the barriers he found
Once that was done he was favourable towards the result

Hi their.
As you probably know, I'm considering purchasing an EEE PC for use with Linux--doesn't have to be Ubuntu
though. Since I obviously can't see the screen, will that be a issue for me? I was under the impression
that the original poster was trying to manipulate the Orca GUI with the touch pad or whatever pointing device
the EEE PC comes wth.

Hi David:
Yech. Unfortunately, Orca's preferences GUI is just too big. You
should be able to move it around, however, by pressing Alt+F7 and then
using the arrow keys.

Weʼve successfully installed Orca onto a Ubuntu based eeePC and
certainly on mains power it runs extremely well with some hesitancy
on battery power. But one problem appears to be that the Orca
preferences screen doesnʼt resize when the machine starts up, which
means that in order to set preferences and select options one needs
to plug the umpc into a full monitor to view all the tabs and
buttons
Any ideas ?
