Hi Guy: IBMTTS isn't available on OpenSolaris, but Cepstral is. I haven't tested it on OpenSolaris in a while, but it worked last time I tried. DECtalk also runs on OpenSolaris, but I also haven't tested it in a very long time. OpenSolaris uses OSS for its sound support, but I believe the OSS used is a much more modern and stable version than what people are used to.
