[orca-list] Orca in Intrepid live CD, and Firefox question

Hello all,
I am pretty sure this bug has already been discussed before, but Orca does not start on the Ubuntu 8:10 live cd when you select it in the accessibility options and then try to install Ubuntu. The installer shows up, and someone installed Ubuntu for me without the need of Orca, and when the system rebooted and I logged in Orca was already enabled and started talking, just as if I had done the whole installation with accessibility enabled. On Ubuntu 8:04 everything worked perfectly. If instead of going straight to the installer you boot into the live cd with orca enabled, it starts just fine, and it is possible to install Intrepid the old way (enabling accessibility on the root account, logging out, relogging in and typing ubiquity as root). Any idea why all this is happening? And then the FF question: I am using the last bleeding edge version of Orca from Subversion. Is there any plogins, patches...whatever...for Firefox that this version does not include, and that make the navigation better?
It's amazing how much Orca has proggressed this year! Thanks,

Ignasi

Subject: [orca-list] Ubuntu 8.10 and sound recorder.

Dear all,
After I have upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10,my system is crashing when I try to
play the recorded clips wit sound recorder.
Then again, I am not able to transfer files through bluetooth which I
was able to do with ease with Ubuntu 8.04.
Any solutions?
Thanks in advance,
P. Balaraman.
