[orca-list] Which version of Linux do users recommend?

Hi folks,

I am considering which version of Linux to install. I am leaning to  
wards Ubuntu but have found that there are derivitives of Ubuntu can  
anyoe advise which would be best for a new user and the advantages/ 
disadvantages of using one over the other? I m also considering either  
Fedora or Free Spire what do people thnk?
