[orca-list] sound volume in hardy

does anyone know how to alter the sound volume in hardy?
i can play movies in totem but i can't seem to be able to alter 
the volume of the movie in totem.
all orca says is "volume up" in the sound menu of totem and the 
volume doesn't adjust at all.
i am using a compaq presario 140 laptop.  orca with espeak is 
fine, it is the volume for movies and maybe music i can't seem to 
be able to turn up.
