Hi list, just tried Gnome commander in Ubuntu with Orca, hoping to find a
more power-user oriented file manager than Nautilus appears to be. The good
news is that menus and dialogs speak fine and thatt the colors are
customizable and may also be automatically set to your theme settings. The
thing also supports type ahead matching, wild card and regular expression
searching and has a dual pane layout.
The bad news is that using both the default dark blue theme and the one that
respects my Gnome scheme, Orca is unable to track the selection in the two
panes of the program making it virtually unusable at the moment. Is this a
thing that Orca could be scripted to handle or an accessibility glich in
Gnome Commander? The app versions of ORca and Gnome COmmander are the latest
Ubuntu Hardy offers in Synaptic.
