So, do I need to pick one audio system and stick with it,? FOr example, if I
install pulseAudio, will I find myself without speech because no
symnthesizers can use pulseAudio, or can I send my speech through Alsa and
the rest of mya udio through pulseAudio? I assume that this would depend on
how many physical audio devices I have installed - i.e. each device is
serviced by one driver architecture (alsa or pulseAudio in this instance).
Is this correct?
Thanx much in advance.

Rich Caloggero napsal(a):
Can gnome-speech use pulseAudio?
No. It could if the synth supported it nativaly, but there is currently
no such synth.
Can ttSynth (IBM TTS) use speech-dispatcher, or must it use gnome-speech?
Yes. See http://www.freebsoft.org/speechd.
Best Rergards,
Tomas
