hi Hermann!

I really think that there should be another solution, other than 
reinstalling gutsy once more. I followed the download / install page in the 
wiki and it says I need to do all this. it even has steps that has to do 
with gnome 2.22 which doesn't concern my case, as ubuntu gutsy ships with 
gnome 2.20 and orca 2.20 out of the box.

the ./configure --prefix=/usr is mentioned no where in that page.

and thank you Hermann, as you have assisted me long time ago when I used to 
be running feisty.
