If this has anything to do with IPv6, it's likely that your router is
trying to act as a DNS proxy and doing a bad job of it. If that's the
case, first, see if the manufacturer of the device has released updated
firmware. If they haven't, and if there's a dumpster behind your
building, give it a contribution. Once you have a real router, which
should solve your problem right away, you might consider getting an IPv6
connection anyway. You can go to http://tunnelbroker.net/. However, you
will want to use something like edbrowse to sign up. Please don't use
