Subject: [orca-list] Thunderbird/Firefox: Unwanted character echo
Hi,
When I'm typing a message in Thunderbird or filling in a form on a web
page in Firefox, I often get a character echo as I type. This character
echo is often well behind the word echo. For instance, if I type
"application", I will hear something like "application a t i o n". In
Thunderbird, this happens both when Orca is controlling the carat and
when Gecko is controlling the carat.
I have checked both the Orca Preferences dialog and the application
specific preferences dialogs for both Thunderbird and Firefox, and in
all cases character echo is disabled and word echo is enabled.
Is anyone else seeing this behavior?
Thanks,
dave
