There are open bugs in this area. If you have any good ideas, this is an
excellent opportunity to contribute comments in Bugzilla, and to open new bugs
if necessary.

I'm not trying to discourage discussion on the list - quite the contrary, in
fact. However, it is important that whatever valuable ideas emerge from the
mailing list discussion find their way into Bugzilla.
