Are you sure you are exactly on the link? Do you use a braille display, 
so that you can control that?
If not scroll right/left with the arrow keys to make sure you are placed 
on a letter of the link.
For example: If you are on a line containing several links, it might 
happen that the cursor is placed on an empty space at the beginning of 
that line. In this case, pressing enter doesn't do anything.
