What does
apt-get install libgnomebreakpad
say?
Or the way you install stuff on your distro using the package manager.
When opening gedit in a terminal do you get something about something not 
been able to be found?
I did I think it was libgail or something and I just did
apt-get install libgail**

And everything worked.
