Hmm...
I had looked at that option earlier, and even though I had changed the
title there, it still did not reflect it on my gnome-terminal. Seems to
me that title renaming feature is broken.

Hi,
The capability to rename tabs exists in gnome-terminal. Pull down the
Terminal menu, and the first choice in the menu is "Set Title...". If
there are multiple tabbed windows, these titles appear in the tabs.
I'm still running Feisty, so my version of gnome-terminal is 2.18.0. If
they have removed this feature in version 2.20, please let me know.
Thanks,
dave

Dave,
I'm not sure if its a problem with Orca. When I look at gnome-terminal
visually, all tabs have the same name which is "Terminal." Hunting
around, it does not give me an option to re-name the tabs. I recall
that Konsole gave that option, but not gnome-terminal.
If anything, I would file an enhancement request bug against
gnome-terminal to allow for tab renaming.

Hi,
In gnome-terminal, when I use control-page up and control-page down to
move between terminal windows, I get no feedback as to the name of the
current tab. When I'm working, I'm often logged in on several machines.
I will change the name in the tab to be the name of the machine in that
window. It would be useful to hear the name on the tab as I switch
between tabbed windows. Is this a bug? If not, I would like to file an
RFE for this.
I'm using Ubuntu Feisty and Orca 2.21.0Pre (Rev. 2932).
Thanks,
dave
