Hi Daniel:
You can control the key echo of the modifier keys via the "Key Echo" tab
of the preferences dialog. We chose to have the echo enabled by default
for naive users who can then disable it as they gain experience with the
system.
Hope this helps,
Will

Just out of curiosity why do we speak the names of shift, control and
insert?
Surely it would be better to have these keys say nothing?

Hi Victor:
The incessant repetition is probably because the INSERT key is
autorepeating. I've not figured out a graceful way to disable
autorepeat on the Orca key when Orca is running and then re-enable it
when Orca quits.

Hello all,
I noticed that if one keeps holding INSERT key to execute several ORCA
commands while in Keyboard Learning Mode, Orca switches to Spell Mode
and incessantly repeats the name of the INSERT key.
Would it make sense to exclude modifier keys from being treated by spell
feature?
What do you all think?
Regards,
Victor
