I have a question about applying patches to Orca. Does it normally
take a long I mean *LONG* time to apply patches to Orca? I'm trying to
apply the first patch Joani put up last night and It appears to be
hung. I'll outline what I did below.
1. Whent to the bug (forget the number off my head) and found the
listing of patches at the bottom of the page. There were 3 listed.
2. I hit Enter on the patch title and got a page listing the patch
contents. I saved the page using file/save-as from Firefox and the
file was saved to my Desktop.
3. I then opened a gnome-terminal and created a second copy of my orca
svn folder. I then went into the new dir (orca-patched) and then did
a 'patch -p0 ~/Desktop/patch.......'.
The periods just represents the rest of the patch file name for this
message.
4. I sit here and wait, wait, wait, and still waiting. I never
thought patches took that long. I'm thinking I either got the patch
incorrectly or using the wrong parameters to patch. I've patched the
linux kernel with speakup numerous times and that always was nearly
instantanious.
Did I miss something some place?
Thanks for any help.
