Re: [orca-list] orca and espeak on fedora 10

Very strange. This should work. It's working on my computer right now,
and I didn't do anything beyond what you did to get it working.

What about espeak itself? Can you issue a command like:

espeak hello

and hear espeak say that word?

hi, I have installed fedora. although orca and festival seem quick there
are responsiveness issues with festival. I installed espeak and
gnome-speech-espeak through the yum install command. Espeak does appear
in the orca speech preferences but does not talk. orca goes silent if I
switch to espeak. Any ideas how to get it going?
Thanks
Aruni.
