Re: [orca-list] Another Website that gives Orca Fits!

When I'm in Windows using FF 3, I don't experience any of the
fore-mentioned problems. Window-Eyes does exhibit some undetectible
links but other than that, it's responsive enough. I think it's all
that extra unnecessary javascript they have in there. Fortunately,
once most everything is in place at my hosting provider, I shouldn't
have to go in there all that much but still, the thought of having to
use a windows setup to manipulate my unix hosting provider while I'm
predominately a linux user really bugs me.

I wonder what else I can expose or help with to help resolve this
problem.

I can also confirm that it doesn't work well, though I'm on Orca trunk
and FF 3.0.5. Can't confirm whether or not it's a regression, since I
just visited the site for the first time this morning.

On an initial visit, it seems like I can tab between links just fine.
But as soon as I move off, Orca becomes unresponsive. So if I use
ctrl-home to move to the top of the page (it doesn't) then tabbing
becomes sluggish.

Additionally, clicking on "My account" and tabbing past the login form
produces either no or very sluggish feedback.

I can't say because I'm a brand new customer to godaddy so haven't
been to their site until yesterday. My first trips to that site were
from a MS windows platform. Last night was my first experience with
this site. There does seem to be a lot of jabascript all over the
thing even elinks manages to choke on it but we all know that text
browser's javascript support is not all there.

Hi Steve:

Is this behavior new for you (i.e., were you able to access GoDaddy with
some combination of FF/Orca in the past)?

I'm not sure whos bug this is but I have a website here that is
practically unworkable with Firefox 3 and Orca. Go to
http://www.godaddy.com and try to do a simple thing as logging in. I
have a domain hosted there and I find it impossible to use this site.
God forbid I have to log into Windows to work this page as it now
stands.

I forget the exact date but my Firefox is a nightly build with updates
as recent as 12/15/2008 and is now called Shiratoko. I'm using an svn
build of Orca from about a week ago now. I can more or less arrow
around parts of the page but cannot get to the top of the page with
ctrl-home and if I start tabbing around, Orca goes silent and it
appears to take an extremely long time to speak anything.

Anyone see any other sites that exhibit this behaveor? To demo these
problems, one does not need an account with godaddy.com to test this
out.

Thanks in advance for any info on this.
