Dear List!
I trying using virtualbox with Orca the command line utilities
(vboxmanage, vboxsdl and vboxheadless) with Ubuntu 8.04.
The command line utilities usage is clean, I created a virtual machine
and Ubuntu live cd's hope booting correct this machine, but have one
question:
How can I doing working sound card with virtual machine, and Orca speaks
the virtual booted operating system and work the sound card?
I tryed following steps, my virtual box name is test i hope remember the
correct parameter, the vm status shows correct the sound cards:
vboxmanage modifyvm test -audio alsa --audiocontroller ac97
Not work.
vboxmanage modifyvm test -audio alsa -audiocontroller sb16
Not work.
Tryed pulse with audio parameter, not work.
Booted the live cd with following parameters, but I not see the display
and not known what happened realy, the cd spins up and downloading lot
of time:
vboxsdl -vm test -cdrom /dev/hdd -boot d -fullscreen
I hope remember correct the parameters.
If anybody correct using the virtualbox soundcard with this purpose,
please wrote me a private letter, because this question possible
offtopic this list.
I would like test beta or alpha distributions and try new distributions,
but the virtualbox is better with this purpose first.
Thanks,
Attila
