It also needs to find the proper location to include jni.h, which is a
header file for Java platform development.  As I mention, though, I have
a feeling in my stomach that this is going to be a long and frustrating
journey that ends up at a dump instead of Shangri-La.  :-(

However, is there a reason you're trying to get FreeTTS going?  Have you
come across FreeTTS voices that you prefer for your language?
