[orca-list] Any way to access synaptics?

I wanted to install something with the synaptics mNager. I was prompted 
to enter my password after doing so and pressing enter Orca hang itself. 
I tried more than once. starting it with the run dialogue doesn't work 
either it says the welcome thing but you can't move around or do 
anything else.
What can I do:
