Hello all,
Does anyone on here use Speech-Dispatcher instead of the Gnome-Speech
system? I purchased Voxin to use with it and I can't figure out how to
get it to read any punctuation. I don't know if this question would be
more appropriate on another list but if someone could tell me how to
remedy this problem I would greatly appreciate it. Also, on links and
some other elements, the pitch of the voice increases.
You have to adjust punctuation in the SD config files. I don't know on
which system you use SD, because the location of the needed files
depends on the used system:
System wide files are located in: /etc/speech-dispatcher/ and
/etc/speech-dispatcher/modules.
In case you're using Hardy the files are located in
/home/youruser/.speech-dispatcher/conf.
The pitch of spoken elements you find in the Orca preferences dialog in
the speech tab.
