Re: [orca-list] probably compatibility problem of Linux kernel

advantage to doing this from Linux rather than from bios is that it's
easier to turn it back on for some reason that may come up. And, you
don't have to reboot if you do this in Linux.

Dear developers,

I think, that some kernel module of Linux distribution, awailable on Ubuntu Live CD have compatibility
problem with My notebook. Even without using screen reader option, The Linux kernel module crashes and The
notebook stop to respond. The crash occurs very soon after The first boot screen. Who would be so kind and
try to analyse The problem and try to modifi The linux kernel module? I can try to send some core developer
The error message, if there is any, but if The crash happens without error message, The solution of this
problem will be difficult.

I have disabled The IBM Touchpat mouse in BIOS and I also disabled The Trackpoint device in BIos. I done it
because I have problems during typing on my notebook keyboard. The touchpat is too sensitive and when i
slightly touch The touchpad, The cursor started to moving to various positions during writing in Word or
other edit areas.

I can give The kernel developer my notebook type, The version of BIOS. The problem do not occur on my
second, desktop computer.

I do not know, which person should I contact. It should be probably some Ubuntu kernel developer or
developers.

Thank You very much for Your answer.
