[orca-list] The startx command

Hello!

I run a Fedora F8 system. My default runlevel is set to 3. If I try to
do 'startx', I get the following error message:

    try: req_num, object = self._get()
  File "/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/rdiff_backup/connection.py", line 230,
in _get

If I do 'init 5', however, I get a GUI login prompt. Why doesn't
startx works, and how can I start the GUI from the command line as a
normal user (not root)?

Best regards,
Lars
