Hi Charlie,
Orca is part of Ubuntu since 6.10, so you mustn't download it 
seperately.
Just download the live CD, start it, change to a text console by 
pressing Alt+Control+F1 and type
orca
A step by step setup appears, and the rest is self explaining.
