Re: [orca-list] problem compiling orca in ubuntu gutsy

Hi,

If you are using bash, the errors will appear in the error stream. To redirect the error stream to a file, do the following:

make 2> error.out

Hope this helps,

dave

Hi again,

I'm sorry, I'm wrong.
During the compilation I can see that there are 2 errors but when I ttried
to wirte the result in a file with the command:
make>result.txt
it didn't print the errors.
How can I print them?
or how can I report these errors in mailing list?

Thanks !
regards, Sauro

Hi Sauro,

the make output from a very quick glance looks all ok, the compelation has
successful.
to install your compiled orca type:
sudo make install
(type it from the same directory, where you typed make) and that should put
the compiled new orca in /usr/local/bin

Hi everyone!

I tried to compile orca vers. 2.21.0 in ubuntu gutsy, but I'm having
some problem.
What I want to do is to attach a text file with the result of make.
I hope this will not disturb the list

Thanks in advance for the help
