One inescapable problem of such useful endeavors is that someone always
suffers because the conference takes place in the middle of the night.
Usually, the pecking order is:
U.S. Middle of the day -- Business hours
Europe: Evening
Asia/Australia: Middle of the night
PS: It may be of some amusing historical interest to recognize this
problem has pre-Internet antecedants in the U.S. financial industry
where U.S. West Coast stock/bond traders have long kept U.S. East Coast
hours. Yes, there are mini-rush hours in San Francisco as traders go to
work at 5 AM local time in order to be at their desks when Wall St.
opens for business.
