Re: [orca-list] Redefining keystrokes

Hi Hermann.

I just gave the following a try:

1. Located the line which contained the key binding for toggling
structural navigation.

2. Moved to the key binding column where it said Orca+z and pressed
Enter.

3. Pressed Orca_Modifier+x and pressed Enter

4. Pressed the OK button

5. Quit and restarted Orca (because there's currently still an issue
with things "taking")

Having done so, Orca_Modifier+x was the one (and only) command that
toggled structural navigation.

There is in the key bindings table an "Alternate" column which, for that
setting, should be empty by default. After doing all of the above, I
went to that column and added Orca_Modifier+z. Now both Orca_Modifier+x
and Orca_Modifier+z toggle structural navigation. So.... Any chance
that you added your new key binding as an alternate rather than as a
replacement?

Just a guess. Take care.

This seems not to work properly:
I tried to redefine the keystroke for turning structural navigation
on/off.
Result: Both keystrokes, the original and mine, were defined in the end.
Orca+z is displayed in the column "change", and the "modified" checkbox
is checked. Unchecking it sets the settings back to the original
keystroke.
Any ideas?
Hermann
